Radio Centro FM 97.7 de Ambato deberá pagar USD 3660 por sobrepasarse el límite de 15 minutos de publicidad por hora. Así lo decidió la Intendencia Zonal 3 de la Información y Comunicación este 15 de julio tras un proceso de oficio. Según esta entidad, el medio infringió el artículo 68 del Reglamento General a la LOC referente a la duración y frecuencia de los espacios publicitarios, en el programa “Boletín Informativo Nuevo Día”, difundido de 05:04 a 08:56. el 4 de febrero de 2016.
Según el reporte interno emitido por la Intendencia, se concluyó que “que la emisora excedió el tiempo de duración de su publicidad al haber difundido 29 minutos y 0 segundos en la primera hora de programación; 22 minutos y 40 segundos en la segunda hora; y 17 minutos y 34 segundos en la cuarta hora de programación, cuando lo permitido son 15 minutos de publicidad por hora de programación”. Durante la audiencia ante la autoridad, el representante del medio manifestó su inconformidad por el proceso administrativo y no presentó pruebas de descargo.

Radio CentRO FM 97.7 must pay USD 3,660 for exceeding the limit of 15 minutes of advertising per hour. This was determined by the Administration of Information and Communication for Zone 3 on 15 July after proceedings initiated ex officio. According to this entity, the radio station infringed Article 68 of the General Regulations of LOC regarding the duration and frequency of advertising spaces in the program "Boletín Informativo Nuevo Día", broadcasted from 05:04 to 08:56 on 4 February 2016.
The internal report issued by the Administration concluded that "the radio station exceeded the duration of its advertising by broadcasting 29 minutes and 0 seconds in the first hour of programming; 22 minutes and 40 seconds in the second hour; and 17 minutes and 34 seconds in the fourth hour of programming, when only 15 minutes of advertising per hour of programming are allowed". During the hearing before the authority, the radio station's representative expressed dissatisfaction with the administrative process but did not present exculpatory evidence.
