ENGLISH VERSION El 19 de marzo de 2016, el presidente Rafael Correa, durante su Enlace Ciudadano N° 467 acusó a la prensa incitar a que le peguen un tiro, por la información publicada en los últimos días sobre la tragedia del avión militar y la deuda con Solca. También descalificó a los periodistas Gonzalo Rosero y Alfredo Pinoargote, a quienes tildó de “mojigato” y “amargado”, respectivamente.
Respecto a la primera noticia sobre el accidente de la aeronave Aravá -que dejó 22 víctimas mortales el pasado 15 de marzo- el Primer Mandatario acusó a diario El Comercio de mentir y ser “inmoral” por haber cuestionado que el Gobierno no ha reemplazado bienes desde 1975 y aseguró que se quiso politizar la noticia. Tras esto insinuó que la prensa incita a que lo asesinen: “La culpa es de Correa, mientras que el cobarde Correa viaja en un avión nuevo, manda a volar a sus soldados en chatarra, entonces es culpa de Correa el accidente (...) Viendo esto, el familiar de un soldado si me ve en la calle me pega un tiro. Este miserable, él volaba en un avión nuevo y nuestros soldados en un avión de 1972 en malas condiciones.Y esa misma prensa que induce a eso como lo hizo con Eloy Alfaro se rasga las vestiduras llamando a la paz, a la unión".
En cuanto a la información que publicaron los medios de comunicación sobre los 130 millones de dólares que Solca dijo, le debía el Gobierno, el Presidente aseguró: “Están esperando que venga un familiar de un enfermo de cáncer, nuevamente, le meta un tiro al presidente, porque el presidente malvado, cómo odia a los enfermos de cáncer (...) pero en todo caso eso es lo que busca, y para que después alguien le pegue un tiro como hicieron con Eloy Alfaro. La que indujo el asesinato de Alfaro, fue la prensa sobre todo El Comercio, después rasgarse las vestiduras para luego hablarnos de democracia, paz, unión, tolerancia. Entonces, ya no permitamos que nos engañen y nos manipulen”.
El pasado 2 de febrero de este año, el presidente Correa acusó a los medios de comunicación de “meter cizaña” para que luego un desempleado le vea y le de “un balazo”. Anteriormente también ha insinuado lo mismo en los enlaces N° 410 y 372.
En el segmento “La canallada de la semana” insultó al periodista Gonzalo Rosero e instigó para que la gente lo aborde en la calle por referirse en su programa de entrevistas a través de radio Exa- Democracia a la tragedia del avión militar. Correa expresó literalmente: “Cuánta pobreza de alma, de un Gonzalo Rosero que funge de periodista. Cuando lo vean en la calle díganle mojigato. El único mojigato es un tipo como Gonzalo Rosero que vende hasta su alma por su odio hacia el Gobierno. Qué pena tener esa clase de periodistas.” Correa aseguró que desmentirá en cada enlace las denuncias de derroche de recursos en la Presidencia y el gobierno central. Al respecto se refirió al periodista de Ecuavisa, Alfredo Pinoargote, a quien tildó de “amargado”, por haber cuestionado que el Jefe de Estado tenga dos aviones privados. “No vamos a permitir que jueguen con nuestra integridad, peor aun gente como Pinoargote, representante de la partidocracia y la gente que sepultó a este país.”
President accused repeatedly the press of conspiring to incite shooting at him
On March 19th, 2016, President Rafael Correa, during his Saturday Weekly Broadcast N° 467 accused the press of inciting people to shoot at him because of the information published in the last days about the tragedy of the military plane and the debt to Solca. In addition, he also discredited the journalists Gonzalo Rosero and Alfredo Pinoargote, who were branded “two-faced” and y “bitter”, respectively.
Regarding the first news about the accident of the plane Aravá –which left 22 fatalities last march 15th- the President accused the newspaper El Comercio of lying and being “immoral” for questioning the government when it said that the government has not replaced assets since 1975. Besides, the President claimed that it was intended to politicize the news. After this, he insinuated that the press incites his assassination: “It is Correa’s fault, while the coward, Correa, travels by a new plane, he sends his soldiers to travel in a junk heap; therefore, the accident is Correa’s fault (...) when seeing this, if the relative of the soldier comes across me, he will shoot at me. This wretched! He flies on a new plane while our soldiers on a plane of 1972 in bad conditions. And that same press that induces this as it was done with Eloy Alfaro tears its hair out calling for peace and unity".
Concerning the information published by the media outlets about the 30 million that Solca said the government owed to it, the President claimed: “They expect that a relative of a cancer patient comes and shoot at the President because the President is evil, what a hate to cancer patients! (...) but in any case, that is what it is being looked for and later, someone shoots at the President as it was done with Eloy Alfaro. The one that induced Alfaro’s assassination was the press, mainly El Comercio, after tearing its hair out and then, it talks about democracy, peace, unity and tolerance. Therefore, let’s not allow them to trick us or manipulate us”.
On February 2th, 2016, President Correa accused the media outlets of “sowing discord” so then an unemployed sees him and “shoots at him”. Previously, he has also insinuated the same during the Saturday Weekly Broadcasts N° 410 and 372.
In the section “La canallada de la semana” (The knavery of the weekend), he insulted the journalist Gonzalo Rosero and incited people to approach him in the street for having referred to the tragedy of the military plane during his radio interview program in Exa- Democracia. Mr. Correa said literally: “What a poor soul of that Gonzalo Rosero who acts as journalist! Whenever you see him in the street, tell him two-faced. The only two-faced is a dude as Gonzalo Rosero who sells his soul because of his hate to the government. It is a shame to have that kind of journalists.” Mr. Correa affirmed that he will deny in every Saturday Weekly Broadcast the complaints of wasteful spending of the government. Regarding that, he referred to the journalist of Ecuavisa, Alfredo Pinoargote, by branding him “bitter”, for questioning that the head of State has two private planes. “We will not permit them to play with our integrity, worse yet, people as Pinoargote, representative of the partyocracy and of the people that buried this country.”
