El Gobierno, a través de la Secretaría Nacional de Comunicación (SECOM), ordenó una cadena a las 22:30 de hoy, el mismo horario en el que se transmite el programa de investigación Visión 360. Esto obligó al espacio periodístico a modificar su horario habitual y emitir su programa de estreno a las 10:30 de este domingo y reprisarlo a las 23:00.
La imposición se da después de que Visión 360 promocionara durante una semana su reportaje “Luces, Cámara, ¿Derroche?” sobre los 9 años de propagandas audiovisuales realizadas por el Gobierno y jamás exhibidas.
La orden de la cadena llegó ayer sábado a Ecuavisa, la estación que transmite Visión 360. La propaganda gubernamental dura 26 minutos con 38 segundos y se titula “Ecuador: República de oportunidades”. Allen Panchana, director de Visión 360, consideró como abuso esta cadena, que ya fue difundida ayer en el canal incautado TC Televisión en otro horario. Panchana declaró que se ven obligados a transmitir la cadena para evitar procesos y sanciones. Los periodistas del programa también manifestaron en redes sociales su malestar con la decisión de la SECOM.
En las últimas semanas, el programa Visión 360 ha sido víctima de extensas réplicas por parte de entidades gubernamentales aludidas en sus reportajes. El último caso ocurrió el pasado 10 de julio por su investigación “Miedo en la frontera” que trataba sobre la situación de inseguridad en la provincia de Sucumbíos. Las autoridades provinciales impusieron ese día una réplica de 13 minutos que interrumpió el espacio periodístico.
Government tries to censor investigative program Visión 360 through the imposition of a state broadcast

The government propaganda lasts 26 minutes 38 seconds and is titled "Ecuador: Republic of opportunities".
