El periodista Jean Paul Bardellini, corresponsal de la cadena NTN24 fue amenazado de muerte en Twitter por un usuario identificado como “estif yobs” @negrovergonzoso, quien borró su cuenta inmediatamente después de que el periodista hiciera pública la amenaza.
El hecho ocurrió la noche del 18 de julio de 2016 cuando el usuario escribió el mensaje amenazante, aparentemente, en respuesta a una nota divulgada por NTN24 el pasado 12 de julio, en donde se informó las acciones a tomar por parte de la defensa de los ciudadanos cubanos que fueron expulsados del país la semana pasada y las denuncias que estos hicieron respecto a actos de seguimiento e intimidación por agentes de policía. En esa nota, Bardellini también denunció que él y su equipo habían sido seguidos y fotografiados por un sujeto a quien intentaron entrevistar, pero que no dio declaraciones.
El mensaje amenazante decía lo siguiente: “Algún rato van a meterle un tiro al mudo marica de @JBardelini por andar haciéndose el machito con el negro de la cámara de al lado”. Antes de este ‘tuit’, el usuario escribió dos mensajes insultantes en donde se burlaba de que “nadie conoce” al periodista como para que pueda ser objeto de seguimientos.
Bardelini denunció la amenaza desde su cuenta personal de Twitter, en donde le hizo mención al Ministro del Interior sin que hasta el momento haya tenido respuesta. Tras esta amenaza, varias personas han mostrado el respaldo a la labor del comunicador a través de la red social.

Journalist Jean Paul Bardellini, correspondent for the NTN24 network, was threatened to death on Twitter by a user identified as "estif yobs" @negrovergonzoso, who deleted his account immediately after the journalist made the threat public.
This occurred on the evening of 18 July 2016, when the user wrote the threatening message, apparently in response to a note released by NTN24 on 12 July informing about the actions to be taken by the defense of the Cuban citizens who were expelled from the country last week and the allegations they made about being monitored and intimidated by police officers. In that piece, Bardellini also claimed that he and his team had been followed and photographed by a subject who they tried to interview but would not make a statement.
The threatening message said: "Some time they will shoot the mute fag @JBardelini for pretending to be so brave with the black man with the camera next to him". Before this 'tweet' the user wrote two insulting messages where he stated mockingly that "nobody knows" the journalist so why would he be subject to monitoring.
Bardellini denounced the threat from his personal Twitter account, mentioning the Minister of the Interior but receiving no answer so far. Several people have shown support for the work of the communicator through the social network.
